Understanding how movement can influence how we recover from all injuries, including traumatic brain injury. Presenter: Trevor Marum, DC Vert Chiropractic More info: https://www.olytbi.org/ Dr. Trevor Marum, DC, is the founder of Vert Chiropractic in Lacey, Washington, where he takes an individualized, nervous-system-focused approach to chiropractic care. He graduated with his doctor of chiropractic later in life from Life West Chiropractic College after years of being a cranio sacral therapist and fitness trainer. He views his role as both a nurturer and a catalyst—providing the appropriate stimulus to help the body adapt while teaching patients to become active participants in their own wellness. His care is centered around the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all model, with an emphasis on movement, mobility, posture, nervous system function, and helping each patient better understand their body. Dr. Marum works with patients across all stages of life, including children, adults, seniors, athletes, pregnant women, veterans, and individuals recovering from auto and work-related injuries. With a background as a professional athlete, elite personal trainer, and fitness gym owner, Dr. Marum has spent much of his life studying and experiencing the importance of movement. His chiropractic training includes diversified, Activator, applied kinesiology, muscle activation, and functional neurology techniques, allowing him to draw from a broad range of approaches based on each patient's needs. His philosophy extends beyond the chiropractic office through the three pillars of Movement, Nourishment, and Lifestyle. Outside the clinic, Dr. Marum enjoys spending time with his children, gardening, mountain biking, trail running, skateboarding, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. His guiding promise is simple: to meet each patient where they are in their wellness journey.
